Crain’s Detroit Business recently introduced this year’s Excellence in HR Awards.

While the previous two years were about managing staff during the pandemic, 2022 was about bringing people back to the office, staving off the “Great Resignation” and implementing new processes to prepare for future crises. Based on what they learned from the 2023 Excellence in HR award winners, exit interviews, creative connections and imaginative recruitment strategies are key.

Emerge was recognized in the HR Technology category for their work supporting talent attraction and career exploration with the EmergeSkilled technology platform.

EmergeSkilled is a powerful tool within the EmergeNET platform designed to help students find the right entry-level career opportunities by matching their skills with employer profiles. This skills-wallet tool is a game changer for students who are looking to enter the workforce or pursue further education.

Emerge has just finished a two-year pilot program of EmergeSkilled and will be rolling the platform out state-wide and beyond with the assistance of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Works! Association and other chambers and associations.
